I never in a million years would have guessed that as a mom of three and full time nurse, I would actually pull off one of my biggest dreams - opening my own baby and children’s boutique. I honestly have always wanted to own my own store, work in it, immerse myself in the process and share in the community. In college I studied accounting. The way the numbers made sense and the spreadsheets all aligned was what drew me in. I loved accounting all through college, however after graduation I realized my true calling was being a nurse. Not just any nurse, a pediatric ICU nurse. I worked hard in nursing school and landed my dream job at the end of it. I shared 10+ years in the PICU, taking care of the sickest of sick kids, celebrating wins, and supporting through losses. It wasn’t until my third baby was born that I realized my kids and husband needed me more. That is one of the true beauties of the nursing profession - the abundance of job opportunities. I was lucky to find one working with one of my best friends and the hours couldn’t have been better. I slowly started to realize I was missing something in my life. I have always loved a challenge, I have always thrived in chaos. Insert the birth of Luna Baby. I shared with my husband this deep desire to make something of my own and express my creativity while building something for our family. One day it was a dream and the next a reality. I wanted Luna Baby to be a creative outlet, but also showcase the importance and practicality of sustainable fashion and ethically sourced products. I dream of leaving our world in a better place for our kiddos. Luna Baby is just one of the ways I'm doing my part. With every purchase at Luna Baby, you're joining the dream team too!
